My mom, Marleen Frohlich, is a sewer/quilter and any kind of fabric makes me think of her. We have spent many hours shopping at fabric stores finding just the right piece of material to make our next project. As a child, I would fall asleep to the sound of her sewing machine working long into the night making clothes for me and my sister. She has passed on her love of sewing to me although I have a fraction of her talent. Her sewing lessons reach far beyond thread and fabric!
Recently, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and is currently going through chemo. So I made this card for her to give her some hope for the light at the end of the cancer tunnel. I’m so proud of her for the strength and courage she is showing as the chemo makes her body fall apart. I love her dearly and am still getting sewing life lessons from her even though we live apart.
Did you know that you can create cards and homemade gifts without sewing a single stitch? I love that Stampin’ Up! has fabric that coordinates with the many product suites so that we can add it to projects for texture and artistry! All Stampin’ Up! fabric is 50% off until March 31st. That means each package is only $4.98 instead of $9.95. I’m going to order a bunch to have for my crafts! Top of my list are Tea for Two, More Amore, and Floral District. Shop now for a great sale!
