Today was a good day! I thought I’d post the cards that I gave to my mom and mom-in-law. There are so many things to be thankful for on Mother’s Day…First of all, of course I’m thankful for my mom, but just as much I’m thankful for my three kiddos who made me into a mom. And then to be blessed with a wonderful mother-in-law as well is truly so nice. Mom’s are just so special!
You don’t learn how to be a mother without the mentoring of multiple moms who enter your life. Over time, I have honed my own mothering skills by watching, asking and listening to lots of mothers of all ages. I am thankful to them all!
I was able to pull off a surprise for my mom by going home for the weekend. It has been some years since SHE was the focus of my Mother’s Day because of the distance we live apart. It was so wonderful to be able to spoil her for a change. Even though I missed seeing my own children, I think I appreciated the day more by not being on the receiving end of the celebration. My children all shared precious words of love with me today and I felt cherished from afar!
Happy Mother’s Day!
