The season of giving is upon us and I love to have multiple ideas for giving gift cards in my back pocket. Today’s playdate explores different ways to make gift card holders using some basic premade items. It is so satisfying to take some plain white supplies and decorate them seasonly for gift giving.

Papercrafting Playdate 102 – Gift Card Holders Galore

Scalloped Gift Card Boxes

  • 4-1/8” x 2-7/8” DSP or cardstock for box top
    • OR use 4” x 2-3/4” to leave a small border
  • 4-1/8” x 1” DSP or cardstock for long sides
    • OR use 4” x 7/8”
  • 2-7/8” x 1” DSP or cardstock for short sides
    • OR use 2-3/4” x 7/8”
  • 3-7/8” x 2-5/8” DSP to cover the removable insert
  • 4-1/4” x 3-3/4” Basic White cardstock for pop-up feature
    • Score 3/4” from each side along 4-1/4” edge
  • 1-3/4” x 4-1/2” DSP to cover Ghirardelli Squares
  • 1” x 3” DSP to cover Hershey’s Nuggets

Basic White Medium Envelope Gift Card Holder

  • 4-1/4” x 2-3/4” cardstock
  • 4” x 2-1/2” DSP (cut 2)
    • OR wrap entire front and back with 4 x 6 DSP
  • 4-1/4” x 2-1/2” cardstock for tag
  • 18” ribbon
  • 4” ribbon

Classic Gift Card Envelope

  • 2-1/8” x 2-1/4” DSP (if you still want to use the flap slit)
  • 2-1/8” x 3” DSP (if you want to cover the flap slit)
  • 2-1/4’ X 1-1/4” DSP to cover the flap
  • Punched or die cut shapes/images to pop up on the front.

Mini Trifold Pull-Out Gift Card

  • 3” x 11” cardstock, scored 3-1/2’ from each side
  • 3 – Classic Gift Card Envelopes
  • 2-3/4” x 3-1/2” (2) DSP for front overlapping card fronts
  • 2-3/4” x 3-1/2” Basic White cardstock for inside flap
  • 2-1/8” x 2-3/4” DSP for front of gift card envelopes
  • 7” x 1” cardstock for belly band (optional)
