Four Fab Layers Card Template 32 – Papercrafting Playdate 160

Card templates are so helpful for trying new ways to layer paper onto a card front. I love to pull out a good card template when I’m creatively stuck, or when I’m breaking in a new package of Designer Series Paper. In my opinion, a good card template is flexible, and can be used in different ways to achieve a pleasing layout. The Four Fab Layers Card Template 32 brings together four pieces of coordinating Designer Series Paper for a card front with interesting layers.

Supplies & Directions for Card Template 32

• 5 1/2” x  8 1/2” card base
• 2-1/2”  x  5-1/4” DSP #1
• 3/4” x 4” DSP #2
• 1-1/2”  x  3-1/2” DSP # 3
• 2-1/2”  x 2-1/2” DSP #4
• Focal Point any size or shape 

1. Attach DSP #2 along the left folded edge of the card base about 1/4” from the fold and centered evening between the top and bottom edges. There will be 3/4” space from the top and bottom.
2. Attach DSP #1 vertically over DSP #1 by 1/4” so that 1/2” still shows. DSP #1 will be centered top and bottom.
3. Attach DSP #3 horizontally over DSP #1 leaving a 1/4” margin to the right edge of the card front. 
4. Attach DSP #4 centered top and bottom over DSP #3. This piece will be offset over DSP #3 & #1 to the right. Leave 1/4” of DSP #3 showing on the right.
5. Create a focal point to attach to piece #4 and embellish as desired.
