Layered 4 Square Card Template 33 – Papercrafting Playdate 163

Are you ready to play with a super easy and versatile card template? Let me introduce you to Layered 4 Square Card Template 33. Today’s projects and new card template were inspired by Shannon West, Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Development Manager. As soon as she presented this card idea at Stampin’ Up!’s Backstage Event this week, I knew I had to recreate it. As with any good card template, it can be varied and adapted to work with the supplies you have on hand.

Measurements & Directions for Card Template 33

  • 5 1/2” x  8 1/2” card base
  • 4”  x  5-1/4” cardstock or DSP
  • 2” x 2” DSP (4 coordinating patterns)
  • Focal point greeting or image any size or shape
  • 3 embellishments
  1. Attach the 4”  x  5-1/4” piece of cardstock or DSP to the card front. This piece can be a subtle coordinating piece of pattern paper or plain cardstock.
  2. Layer the 2” square pieces of coordinating Designer Series Paper overlapping each other counterclockwise around the card front with each outer edge 1/4” from the edge of the 4”  x  5-1/4” piece. Start with square #1 on the bottom edge and work around counterclockwise so that square #4 is last and on top of all the other squares. (Any of the four squares can be the starting square so that the top square could be in any location.)
  3. Pop-up the focal point image or focal point shape (for greeting) and layer over the layered squares wherever you love it!!!!
  4. Add three embellishments in the empty spaces arranged in a long triangle.
