Really Simple Layout #2 & Card Cousins – Papercrafting Playdate 182

This is the second in a new series of card templates that I’ve called, “Really Simple Layouts”? Perfect for some easy summertime stamping, these layouts take you back to the easy basics of simple card design. In addition to showing you a new Really Simple Layout (#2 yay!!), I am going to also teach you how to take the layout and create two related fun folds that I am calling “card cousins” 😂. All the information needed to create on your own is below including the supplies I used for my projects.

Papercrafting Playdate 182 – Really Simple Layout 2 & Card Cousins

RSL (really simple layout) Measurements

  • 5-1/2” x  8-1/2” card base
  • 2-3/4” x 5-1/4” DSP #1
  • 1-1/8” x 5-1/4” DSP #2
  • 2- 1/2” x 3-3/4” DSP #3
  • 2-3/4” x  4” coordinating cardstock
  • 4″ x 5-1/4″ Basic White for the inside
  • Optional: Punched/Die cut greeting

Card Cousin – Short Front Card

By simply trimming off a 1-1/4″ piece of the card front you can create interest and dimension to your card design.

  •   5-1/2” x 8-1/2” cardstock base
  • 2-3/4” x 5-1/4” DSP #1
  • 1-1/8” x 5-1/4” DSP #2
  • 2- 1/2” x 3-3/4” DSP #3
  • 2-3/4” x 4” coordinating cardstock
  • 2-3/4” x 5-1/4” Basic White
  • Punched/Die cut greeting

Card Cousin – Flip Flap Z-Fold

Adding a score line to the card front creating a flap where the focal point attaches turns the Really Simple Layout #2 into a fantastic interactive fun fold card.

  • 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” cardstock base
  • 2-3/4” x 5-1/4” DSP #1 (optional: cut 2)
  • 4” x 5-1/4” DSP #2
  • 2-1/2” x 3-3/4” DSP #3
  • 2-3/4” x 4” coordinating cardstock
  • 2-3/4” x 4” Basic White for inside
  • Punched/Die cut greeting
