Playing with squares can be so much fun! Using squares to create card layouts is also easy and versatile. It’s a great way to use up scraps or dive into a new package of patterned paper. Card Template 24 Hip to be Square (Part 2) is going to show you how to take 3 inch squares and turn them into different card front designs. It’s so simple you are going to want to make them more than once!

Papercrafting Playdate 171 – Hip to be Square Card Template 34

Supplies & Measurements

Here is what you need to create 10 cards with 15-3″ squares of pattern paper.

  • 4-3/4”  x  3-1/4” cardstock (10)
  • 4-3/4”  x  3/8” ribbon, cardstock, or die cut edge (10)
  • (15-18) 3” squares
  • Small Focal Point cluster any shape

Cut the 15-18 3” squares into rectangle and square pieces. For 10 cards you need 24 1-1/2” squares and 18 1-1/2” x 3” rectangles. If using a package of Designer Series Paper that has 6 double sided patterns, Choose one of each of the 6 patterns to cut into 24 squares and 9-12 (two of each pattern) to cut into the 18 rectangles. This will give you a variety of pattern choices. You will have a few leftover squares.
