Perfect 2″ Friends Card Template #30 – Papercrafting Playdate 148

If you are looking for a simple card front template that uses pieces of pattern paper that are easy to cut, the Perfect 2″ Friends Card Template #30 is just what you need. This card template is great for using up the dregs of a package of Designer Series Paper, and also for making a bunch of cards at the same time. Let’s get started!

3. Grab your favorite pattern papers and start cutting pieces for card template #30.

Supplies and Directions for Card Template #30

• 5-1/2” x  8-1/2” card base
• 4”  x  5-1/4” cardstock
• 2”  x  4” DSP #1
• 2” x  3” DSP # 2
• 2”  x 2” DSP #3
• Die cut image or greenery shape

1. Stamp a greeting directly on the 4”  x  5-1/4” piece of cardstock in the lower left corner. (or wait until after adhering the DSP), and adhere to the card base (or wait). Options: stamp a partial background on this piece or use an embossing folder.
2. Attach the 2”  x  4” DSP #1 piece along the left edge of the card front about 1/4” from the top and left edges of the 4”  x  5-1/4” piece of cardstock. 
3. Attach the 2” x  3” DSP # 2 piece overlapping piece #1 by 1/2” and 1/4” from the right edge of the 4”  x  5-1/4” piece of cardstock. Offset this piece to DSP #1 so that it is 1/4” from the bottom edge.
4. Attach the 2” x 2” DSP #3 in the center of the card front. It will be 1” from the left and right edges, and 2-5/8” from the top and bottom edges of  the 4”  x  5-1/4” piece of cardstock. (Option: use an embossing folder to quilt the DSP pieces to the card front.)
5. Pop up and attach the die cut shape over the the section where DSP # & #3 overlap.
6. Stamp the greeting directly onto card front or add a raised piece of cardstock.
7. Embellish as desired.

Expand the versatility of this template into your scrapbook pages by using similar shapes in a larger scale on a layout. The pieces I used to recreate this template on a 12 x 12 layout are 4″ x 8″, 4″ x 7″ and 4″ x 4″ .
