It’s time to play with May’s Paper Pumpkin Kit, “Sparkling Celebrations”. Join me as we put together the cards and use this sparkling kit! You will find a video tutorial for creating with this kit as well as ideas for some alternative designs below.

Grab your kit and join me for some creative playtime. May’s Paper Pumpkin Kit, “Sparkling Celebrations” makes nine cards. I will make three cards as designed by Stampin’ Up! and then make four alternative versions using the supplies in the kit. The photos of the alternative cards are below. Watch the video for the specific measurements used to create the alternative designs on cards #1-#4.

Alternative Card 1 – Triple Interlocking Gatefold Card
- 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 2-1/8″ & 6-3/8″. Fold on score lines to meet in the middle to create gatefolds.
- 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece cut into three 1-3/4″ strips.
- Attach the top and bottom strip to the left side of the gates, and the middle to the right side of the gates.


Alternative Card 2 – Pop-Up Card
- Pop-up mechanism 1″ x 4″ scored every inch.
- Envelope piece cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″ then torn diagonally. Envelope flap torn and layered.



Alternative Card 3 – Triple Panel Z-Fold Card
- 5-1/2″ x 7-1/4″ card base scored at 1-1/2″ and 3″.
- Premade card trimmed to 4-1/2″ x 7-1/4″ and scored at 4-1/4″ and 5-3/4″, then cut into three 1-1/2″ strips.
- Attach the strips to the card base leaving 1/2″ in between the strips. Only adhere on the 1-1/2″ sections on the opposite sides.


Alternative Card 4 – Flip Flap Z-Fold Card
- 4-1/4″ x 11″ card base scored at 1-1/4″ and 5-1/2″. Fold in half then fold the 1-1/4″ section back toward the card front to make a flap. Trim off a 1″ section at the top and bottom of the 1-1/4″ flap to create a smaller flap.
- 3-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ focal point piece. Optional: Layer on a 3-1/2″ square piece.
- Envelope pieces measuring 4″ x 4″, and 4″ x 1-1/8″ for inside and 4″ x 4″ piece of card base for the outside.
