Ready to see how this fun fold gets put together? Here we go!

 Supplies

  • 4” x 11” DSP – 2 coordinating pieces (with 4 coordinating sides), scored at 5.5″
  • 3” x 5.25” cardstock for insert (Basic White)
  • Tailor Made Dies (3 largest dies)
  • Border Basics ( Cloud border)
  • Black & White Twine 18 “
  • Cardstock scraps to cut tag dies
Paper supplies for the Double Pocket Criss Cross Card. Score the 4” x 11” pieces at 5.5”.  Lay them next to each other and draw opposite diagonal lines creating a “house” shape. See yesterday’s post for more details information on the basic criss cross card.
Step 1:With the two pieces layered together, cut one half diagonally from middle score line to outside corner following the drawn lines. This creates 2 opposite diagonal panels that will layer together and cross over to form a pocket.

Lay the cut off triangles together as shown and use as a guide to trace a triangle along  the top edge of one panel and cut out. The guide should be .5” above the bottom edge.

Adhere the cut out panel on top of the back panel. I love to use Multipurpose Glue for this project. Only put the glue on the bottom and the outside edge. This creates the back pocket.
Adhere the diagonal panels along the bottom edge, overlapping one over the other.  This will create the front pocket.
Use the cloud border die to trim off just the top of the Basic White insert cardstock piece for the front pocket. Decorate the tags for the back pocket. Add focal point on card front. Who wouldn’t love to receive this bright happy card?
With the leftover triangles you can create a quick and easy “bonus card” and use up those pieces!
