Playing With Paper Scraps Part 3 – Papercrafting Playdate 166

It’s time for another go at playing with paper scraps. Being able to use up the small bits of leftover pattern paper feels so good, right? I’ve compiled four super easy card templates that use 1″ paper strip scraps that you can throw together when those pesky leftover bits of paper are piling up.

2. Download the pdf to use as reference while you are creating.
3. Shop your stash of leftover papers and dive into making some super quick cards.

Whimsical Strips Template

• 5-1/2” x 8 1/2” cardstock base
• 3-3/4” x 5” cardstock
• 4” x 5 1/4” coordinating cardstock
• 1” x 3” DSP (5), cut 1 each of 5 different patterns
• 2” Die cut or punched shape for greeting and accent

Perfectly Framed Template

• 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” cardstock base
• 4” x 5 1/4” Basic White (or 3-3/4” x 5”)
• 1” x 4” DSP #1, cut 2
• 1” x 2-3/4” DSP #2, cut 2
• 1 7/8” x 3 1/8” neutral cardstock
• Die cut or punched shape

Woven Strips Template

• 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” cardstock
• 4” x 4” cardstock
• 1” x 4” DSP (4 different designs)
• 1-1/4” x 4” coordinating cardstock
• Small stitched shape, die cut, or punch
• Embossing Folders with small patterns

Ribbon Pinwheel Template

• 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” cardstock base
• 5” x 3-3/4” Basic White
• 4” x 5-1/4” coordinating cardstock
• 1” x 3-1/2 DSP #1 (1)
• 1” x 2-1/4” DSP #1 (1)
• 1” x 1-1/2” DSP #1 (2)
• 1” x 1” (2) coordinating cardstock

Once you make these four card template using 1″ paper strips one time you will think of so many ways to tweak the designs.
