Today is my birthday, and I am indulging in my favorite stamping methods/techniques/colors/fun folds! Are you in? If I had to choose only one way to create cards (for the rest of my life) I would choose basic stamped backgrounds and simple fun folds. Let’s put the two together and have some fun together.
When I think about my favorite stamping methods/techniques/colors/fun folds I came up with a list that includes the following: purples, butterflies, one sheet wonders, background stamping/collage, focal point clusters, pockets, tags, and simple fun folds! I tried to combine as many of these elements together into one big birthday project that I hope you will enjoy. I first created a simple mixed media background paper using stamps, ink, blending brushes, foil die cuts, and embossing paste. Then I cut it up strategically into pieces to create four different simple fun folds and one bonus card which I finished off with an easy focal point. This challenge was so much fun and a lovely birthday gift to myself. If you have the time to try creating your own background paper I highly encourage this activity! It is good for your card-making soul!
Here’s Your Homework 😉
- Watch the video tutorial and join the fun of exploring my favorite things about stamping.
- Download the PDF to help you with measurements while you create cards!
- Grab YOUR favorite stamp images and ink colors to create with me and my favorite things!
Now it’s your turn to search and shop your stash to find some elements to create your own stamped background paper, and maybe even add some mixed media elements (and get messy!). Then decide how you are going to cut up your mixed media background paper to create some cards. I hope you have so much fun!
