Creating multiple cards in one sitting is a great way to save on time and helpful when making cards for the holidays or when giving cards as gifts. Today I’m going to show you how to create 8 cards at once and make a sweet card holder to give them as a gift. Let’s jump right in!
For all the specifics on this project take a look at the video tutorial and download the pdf directions to. help you get started!
This template is designed to work on a vertical (portrait) card. You can make 8 cards at one time if using a full sheet of 12 x 12 double-sided patterned paper
Supplies Needed – 8 of each piece
- 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” card bases
- 3” x 3-1/2” patterned paper
- 3” x 2” patterned paper (flip side)
- 3/4” x 4-1/4” Basic White cardstock
- Scraps for die cutting/punching embellishment
How to cut the 12 x 12 piece of pattern paper:
- Orient yourself to the pattern design and if there is a direction to the pattern make it vertical.
- Cut off 1” from the bottom edge.
- Cut the remaining 12” x 11” piece into 3” strips. There will be 4 strips.
- Stack the 4 strips on top of each other, turn horizontal and measure/cut at 3.5” two times, then measure/cut at 2”.
- Flip the 2” x 3” pieces to the backside pattern and pair up with the 3-1/2” x 3” pieces.
Now how about a fun card holder to give these cards to someone as a gift? This easy pattern easily holds 8-10 cards plus envelopes and even has a pocket for storing postage stamps!!!!!! There is also a pdf for this part of the project so you can make it over and over again.
My friends, I hope this projects keeps you happily stamping and thinking of paper that you can use (or use up)! I encourage you to sit down, get busy and enjoy an easy cardmaking experience. Until next time! -Robin
