Supplies & Directions for Pop-Up Pocket Gift Card Holder

  • 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” cardstock for card base
  • 5-1/4” x 2-1/4” DSP #1
  • 5-1/4” x 1-3/4” DSP #2
  • 4-1/4” x 5-7/8” DSP or Two Tone cardstock
  • Focal point in any shape
  1. Score at 2-1/2”, and 6-1/2 along the 11” edge of the 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” piece of cardstock.
  2. Fold on both score lines toward the inside of the card. The folds will overlap in the middle. One fold is 2-1/2” wide, and the other is 2”.
  3. Use adhesive on the outer inside edges of the 2” fold and secure it to the inside of the card base creating a pocket.
  4. Adhere the DSP #1 to the 2-1/2” fold, and DSP #2 to the outside of the pocket.
  5. Score the 4-1/4” x 5-7/8” piece of DSP or Two-Toned cardstock at ½”, and 3-7/8” along the 5-7/8” edge. Fold on the score lines in opposite direction. The 3-7/8” score line folds to create the gift card pocket and the ½” section/flap attaches to the card base.
  6. Fully insert the gift card pocket into the larger card base pocket and align the unfolded ½” section with the score line on the card base.
  7. Apply adhesive to the ½” section/flap and close the card base to attach it to the front flap of the card. When you open the front card flap it will pull up the small pocket to reveal the gift card.
  8. Add a focal point image to the front of the card if desired, overlapping the front flap.
