I’ve been a card-making machine lately. With a wedding and bridal showers in the last six months I have made hundreds of cards in multiples. Have you ever needed lots of cards at one time? For the holidays? For thank you notes after a celebration? For an event?
Mass producing multiples of the same card can be a daunting task, but with a few tips you can make the process as simple as possible. I “whipped out” 28 thank you cards last week for my customers who placed Open House orders in August. By keeping the design somewhat simple and utilizing my favorite tools this process was fast and fun! In a matter of a couple hours the cards were done and ready for the mail!
I have three tips for you out of this card-making frenzy.
- Utilize the Stamparatus tool to make positioning the images easy and duplicatable.
- Try using sponge daubers as a simple way to color in detailed images.
- Use the punched out shapes by themselves, offset from the hole in the card front.
Turn on some music, watch your favorite show, and throw in a fun beverage and you’ve got some pretty amazing therapy for a couple hours “work”! I hope the recipients of my cards enjoy them! See the card recipe and links for products used below and watch my card-making process video!
